, these specs are definitely different from the one at NAMM
what the heck is a 4 piece top?
That is why he said they were doing it.. To distinguish them from each other since they are different divisions of Gibson. (Epi, USA, Custom Shop)
Kiss ended when 1977 became 1997!
Sorry dude, but that one is the real deal. I am surprised it doesnt have the correct back plates. But that is a real one. You can tell by the face on the headstock
I believe the 97's did come with a pickgaurd, but it came in the case and you can put it on if you wanted too.
I like them with the pickgaurd.
Do any of you know if all the Budokans have been built and shipped or are they still being produced right know?
I believe there were all done, I could be wrong but I'm not sure.
Pretty sure they are all out at the dealers/owners.
I'm new here. Been an Ace fan since 1978 and I'd just like to say that all of you guys who own these new guitars are making me very jealous. This thread is probably one of the greatest on the internets.
Congrats to all of you!
the pic of the USA on sam ash has the correct tuners. wonder if its the wrong pic?
The pic on Sam Ash is of the VOS, my guess is they used the wrong pic. Worse off is that they can get away with it as long as they list the specs correctly.
If they're going with rosewood fretboards on the USA's, I'd rather just wait for an old Greco EG 600 to show up for sale.

Wow, this thread died... Here are some pics of my new Jodi Head Ace Strap, 52". I'm happy with it, but IMO it looks like the AF Designs one is better quality and a bit cheaper.
Looks cool man I got one too and mine id 54" and it's not long enough for me.
yeah that one is a fake
Yeah, I think 54" might be the right length for me, the 52" I got is a little bit short, but manageable.
Mine is at 53" and is at my belt.. Considering I'm 5' 9", that is where I want it. I'm not a "low" slinger like JP..
Talking about strap lengths.. I know the length for you is where it feels just right, but what is the correct placement for the guitar to hang? Remember when bass players had them high, then went low slung.. If you are measuring, what is the correct, well if you go by the book, the relationship to your elbow/waist.. What i'm looking for is there a specific way to measure, like a violin measurement.. KIRK
So seriously want...
