A Question for the KISS aficionados...on the fact ACE isn't touring with the band nowadays ...good call? Are they 'too corporate" or is he not up to it, or where the relationships just too sour??
ACEs take on it:
How much time do you have? But, in all honesty, there is a long history and a lot of info out there. In my opinion, Ace is better without Kiss right now. Even during the reunion era, he was creatively suppressed by gene/paul and much was self induced as well.. Drugs/alcohol. He's in a good place right now and does what he wants to do both musically and personally.
The greatest stuff was Kiss' early years, but it became a bit contrived later on. Sure, I miss old Kiss, but that will never really be again even if the originals got back together.
Thanks, I realised it's a mighty question. Nice reply, sounds about right from what I've seen and read.
I agree with this 100%.
I have seen the current line-up, it was a great show, but it is not Classic KISS. I have seen the original line-up on the reunion tour too, and that was not really Classic KISS either. It was even better than the line-up of today, but it cannot hold a candle to KISS of the 70s.
For me, KISS will never top Alive! That is their pinnacle and they will never, ever, ever hit those lofty heights again.
KISS ended when ACE left/was kicked out of the band in 81/82.
For all you Ace specialist -Please do what you do best and call this guy out!
Gibson Les Paul
ha ha, we all know he left the band twice...no worries

Looks like a fake first run signature USA...
eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices
doesnt look fake to me.
did they make ones that had flames that looked that way? Never seen one like that...
if you look at the first 300, the tops were all different. this should be from the original run of USA's, but it almost looks like the serial number starts with an 8? and it comes with the wrong case and the 97's didnt come with a pickguard. other then that it is not a veneer like the fakes, and it has all the other correct parts.
on another note, does anyone have any info on the new USA Ace?
the guitar looks like a first run USA, and looks like they did come with flame tops, but according to John at acefrehlyelespal.com they came in a black tolex case with blue shroud...so it's the case thats fake!
Yeah, no doubt that the case is the wrong case. But, all of the flames that I've seen on the 300's or USA models were perpendicular to the center seam. This one is more or less horizontal. I have never seen one like this so I thought that it might be a fake...
I was told that the USA Budokan will look like the one that they showed at NAMM...
i hope not, that wasnt an Ace guitar at all.
really? With no pickguard, wrong tuners, no backbinding, wrong color and possibly no volute? and who knows what else...
Guess it will be easy to distinguish from the VOS' and Aged ones then...

I'm guessing a lot of people here grew up in the '70's...45 pages on Ace's guitar?
