Rare as hen's teeth in the uk. To the point where if I wanted to hold a uk budokan owners convention I and everyone came I could probably hire a toilet cubicle and there would still be space for the buffet.

I recently had that guitar gutted. New Dimarzio's, speed knobs, tuners, toggle switch, jack, & a pre-wired harness from Jonesy Blues. It's the Budokan's little brother

Yeah, Jonesy does nice work on his stuff.

I purchased everything from him with the exception of the Dimarzio's, which I purchased from Musicians Friend.

All the upgrades, I believe it was in the $300 range. The guitar went from nice, to INCREDIBLE after the surgery. It's absolutely amazing...money well spent.

That includes pups? I´m little worried about costs cause such harnesses and wiring is not available here in northern europe..

Yes, that was including the pick ups.

I think you can get the harness, toggle & jack, & new speed knobs from Jonesy for about $150-ish.

It's a new guitar now...I'm still in awe as to the results.

I looks like you have the same guitar that I do. I think you'll be very pleased when you install the new components.

I wanted a Haze when they came out but never picked one up. So many amps to choose from these days...makes it tough to pick.

There are two things about the budokan I don't like:

    1) Heritage Cherry Burst

    2) Speedneck

One day I'll buy an Epi BB3 and spend $500 making it into Ace's ebony, but with a fatter neck!

Looks like someone made their own. It's on eBay. Just search Epiphone Ace Frehley, with no categories.

Yes,it will be really treat after those alterings.
The Haze is in the low-end tube combos and 40W will be enough for my home use, just want the real tube-sound.Some people say it has not too clear sound thou..

    Didn't see it.

I did see a black burst though...with rusty arse frets.
