That guitar looks incredible!
"It looks marvelous!"
Wow man, that thing is so gorgeous!!!!!!!! It must seriously mess people up when you tell them you have a 56 Burst!
ok, i am confused...
the first photo shows a p90 route, but later on you show a pic of the red conversion and it has a humbucker route..
is the first photo from the original conversion?...???
my question was how did you guys make the wood fills for the p90 route? is there a template somewhere? or was that done in the original conversion?
lovely work btw
Good question! The first photo is the '56 GT when the gold was just removed. Hence it still had the original P90 routes. Then, Gord Miller converted it to humbucker specs. So he filled the P90 holes with mahogany and maple cap, then re-cut for humbuckers. Hope that helps!
That turned out rather nicely I must say....congrats!
Beautiful one you got there!!
Awesome. Thanks for sharing.
Nice looking one, Congrats
Thanks for all the love guys! I haven't been able to put this one down since I got it Hope everyone had a great holiday!
What a clunker !
Here’s my ‘56 just completed
A stoptail/TOM post ‘55 guitar is the ultimate conversion donor imo, and you’re 100% in Burst territory with some diligent work.
Now that’s a conversion.
Wait, you mean you have another one?!? It's magnificent! My good man, I think you have a conversion perversion!!! I like that in a person (although I'm sure there are many out there with conversion aversions who wouldn't agree with me)!
Looks amazing my friend! You did so well! We should get our two 56s together!
Thanks all! Here it is hanging with another ‘59 sunburst
...and with a ‘62 SG/LP
