I am not a fan of destroying Goldtops or of trying to make them something other than a Goldtop, but there is no arguing with the results on this one. :wow: Beautiful.

Hence one of my criteria when I was looking: "C) One that was already converted". Thank you though!

This one will have a great life in its current form :)

I agree! Once the damage is done... You have got one sweet guitar with a history, too, which makes it even more cool in my book. :thumb:

Trey, congrats again my friend! Great job in quickly finding/purchasing the '56 "Husk" and all the respective authentic parts, and sending it off to Kim LaFleur at HM for a refin. What a stunning TOP...PLAY ALL DAY!!

Does it have the original serial #? If so, can you share ?
my 56/59 conversion is the opposite of yours, flame on top with Birdseye on the bottom portion of the top... interesting to see how close the serial # are...

That is one beautiful guitar, I love what you have done to it! I have a VERY similarly flamed 1971 Les Paul deluxe I had refinished and converted. D38DC23D-4861-4203-91B5-0DB8932EC754.jpeg 0128E942-51D5-4FE5-8451-1B8CA61B8399.jpeg

Wow - That is eerily similar to mine! Yours is a 3-piece but it blends very well together!

I normally don't like multipiece tops but that thing is on point. The burst came out exceptional. Great job.
