Found a completely mint 2000 Fender American Series Telecaster body/pickups in natural ash on Reverb for a good value (had a hideous white pearloid pickguard on it however). I paired it with a beautiful 2017 Fender American Elite Telecaster neck, with ebony fretboard and locking tuners. Also replaced the pickguard with a 3-ply black/white/black Elite pickguard. Built it, Plek'd it and set it up with 10/46s. The outcome is one truly unique and badass Telecaster.

I have 5 Teles. Each one is amazing, but this one has quickly become my favorite. It plays and sounds incredible. That ebony is super sweet. Not sure yet on the specs of the pups/electronics of the 2000 American Series, but they don't seem to be anything too special. They sound great, but I may look into finding something a bit more vintage since I am keeping this one.
