The ideal solution, of course, is to have 4+ delays and reverbs AS WELL as 5+ drive/fuzz pedals :D

for the past 28 years it has been a Boss SD-1 Super Overdrive pedal, although of late I am also using the overdrive channel on my Bugera V22 and V55

It depends on the guitar, day, and weather. At the moment:

Gibson LP Studio: Lumpy's Jelly Roll
    G&L S-500: Skreddy Screw Driver
Ibanez Artcore semi: VFE Blues King
Fernandez Native (P-90s): CEP FET Dream
Fender Toronado (slide): Wampler Tweed '57

wylde overdrive (zakk wyldes signature pedal) by MXR, i play thru a 6505+ so its not exactly needed...... but i kick it on to get extra extra hot harmonics + volume boost

its actually a KICKASS pedal for blues on the clean channel with just a bit of drive added , low volume and 1/4 tone

doesn't that one also have the switch in the enclosure to basically turn it into a gt-OD? the gt-od is supposed to be a great tube-screamer pedal.

It's got to be my new Wampler Blackface 65'... brilliant pedal. It can do nice transparent OD all the way to some nice creamy fuzz. Very versatile and very awesome.

I am almost afraid to suggest this, because I would not have thought it would be good, but it is. Some of you should try the Digitech iStomp with some of its overdrive models. It's very impressive and it doesn't have any fizzy sounds at all.

    1) Jam Pedals Tube Dreamer 88!

Simply the best OD i´ve ever had. Most transparent, organic, dynamic, warm, greatest string definition, unmatched clarity, smooth etc etc it has everything!!! Left side (TD58) is a TS808 clone with a selected vintage 4558D chip and an extra gain switch. Right side (TD72) is an OD with a secret chip which is much more transparent and with out the mid boost of the TS808/4558D. It´s the most transparent and natural sounding OD ever! You can her 1/1 the soul of the guitar and the amp! It has something magical on it! Its just a dream!

    2) AnalogMan King Of Tone!

My absolute favorite till i´ve got the Tube Dreamer. Each one has it´s own character. Both are just awesome. The KOT it´s a Bluesbraker in a Box.

    3) Ibanez TS808HW!

Beats the vintage and reissue Tubescreamer by far! Two resistors are changed in compare to the stock one. I dont know if that´s the only reason but the HW has a "3D" deep tone, is smoother and warmer and sounds more organic than the old ones. I just love that thing.

Those three are the top of the line of OD´s to me. I have a big collection of OD´s but i dont use anymore the other ones since my ears got spoiled of those trhee:)

This week, I'm digging my Hardwire CM-2. Last week, it was the OCD. My tastes seem to be always changing. That's why it's nice to have different flavors of dirt on hand! :D

My favourite OD of those that I have is my Timmy; of those that I've tried and loved but haven't yet acquired, I really like the Wampler Euphoria - it wouldn't replace the Timmy but it'd sit fairly beside it - it's very different. With the right amp (in my small collection, an old SF Twin), my Barber Silver LTD is nice, too.

But, my gosh ... I read through these threads and there are just dozens and dozens mentioned that I've never even seen, let alone tried. I have no idea if the Timmy or the Euphoria would compete well with some of these others.

This one for years and years--the inexplicably overlooked (and relatively rare) Ibanez Super Tube STL.

For me, it's the best at what it does, and that's raping the pedal in front of it...usually a Muff appropriately enough.

Stock TS9 followed closely by my vintage RAT. I know there are several 'better' OD pedals on the market, but my trusty TS9 has served me well for more than a decade, and I've never felt the need to do any of the fancy mods that are so popular.
