Well My JCA22H arrived today. Still sealed in original box from 2012. I would post pictures, but it wasn't here long enough, as quick as it was delivered it was shipped right back out to BFG for some heavy duty modding, HEAVY being the key word there.
Now the hard part, waiting to get it back from Brian!!! Should be well worth the wait!:dude::dude::dude::dude:

I am getting the 20lb hammer mod with added choke on the OD channel. And what Brian said was his standard crunch channel mod to make it aggressive. The mod included the depth mod and a push pull grind control on the back. Plus retube with all JJ high gain tubes. He said this mod with tighten the amp up increase the bass response, and eliminate the fuzz in the top end and make it punchy and articulate yet smooth.

Why didn't you play it first to see if you like it? Seems odd to mod it before even playing it. I'm disappointed I wanted to hear your thoughts on how it sounds dude!

Well ok I lied a little, I opened the box and plugged it in to make sure it was all working, so I did strum on it a little. But only for a short period of time, because I wanted to get it back out today since it has to travel from coast to coast to get to BFG.
It sounds killer stock! Very soldano'ish, it was a touch fizzy with the gain up high, but I wasn't too focused on that since I knew this was one of the things the mod would address.
I am really amazed these amps are so cheap!!!! Even stock they are better than a lot of amps I have heard.

Just ordered a new grill cloth baffle board for it, to get rid of that ugly blue baffle board that comes stock.

Dude, Take it easy.. I don't want the prices to rise. It's kinda the best kept secret in low cost Killa amps.. at least after Brian gets done.. can we keep it that way for a little while?

Probably not worth all those mods.I modded a tiny terror with all new mercury magnetics transformers,a choke put on it and the circuit was tweaked. After all that I think I should of just left it stock.Ended up selling it and took a beating on the price(you really dont get all your money back for the mods)With all that money you can buy a stock killer amp and do nothing to it.

Nah it sounded pretty decent on it's own, but it should be a monster when I get it back.

From all the clips I have heard, and word of mouth from others who have owned BFG modded amps I think it will be well worth it.

Jezzz.. were you that type that purchased a car and never put any chrome on it? or loud exhaust? Or custom wheels.. This isn't about money and getting back what you spent.. it's not a CD from a bank.. It's a fun hobby and I don't know too many hobbies you get your money back from..
