it sounds awesome. i would record it but i dont have the right gear.

it is out of this world resonant which i thought it wouldnt be due to the paint needed for the finish. i chalk it up to my amazing set up work.

I popped in because I thought you posted more pics..... Which reminded me that I threatened a few people with a few pics of my own. (You included.)

I seem to have this strong aversion to messing with the sizes on PhotoBucket, writing captions...... OK, I'll stop whining. :D

Still an awesome build, anyway! :thumb:

I'm still the resident uber noob, but I like it....I think at some point, I'm likely to give building a guitar a shot, but right now, I'm concentrating on playing the damn thing. Serious +1 on the build, bro...

    Amazing work!

I had the idea to do EXACTLY this after finding some 'rusting' paint on Ebay. I was gonna do a Tele or Thinline Tele to start with, but I found a fake Billie Joe Armstrong LP Jr VERY cheap, so I thought I'd do that instead.

I can't believe someone's already done one of these! And so well!! I was still gonna use a scratchplate, and I was gonna score lines into the body to give the appearance of the different sheets of metal along the rivet line (I was also gonna drill out some screws!

Hopefully the OP is still aroundon this board, It'd be nice to be able to share tips etc when I start m build..which of course, I shal document here!!
