Well, while staying at home after getting laid off 6 months ago, I have patched together a modest little home studio:

SONAR 8 Producer Edition (with a variety of add-ins)
HP Laptop (with enough memory to get by)
    M-Audio studio monitors
    Novation MIDI Keyboard/Synth
    Sterling Audio ST59 Condenser Mic
    Audix i5 Mics (2)
    Alesis Firewire MultiMix 8 Mixer
    Presonus Firestudio Project Interface

I'm working on a basic 6 track instrumental thing with bass, drums, 12 string acoustic (rhythm) guitar, Fender Strat (lead) guitar, 6 string (lead overdub) acoustic guitar, and keyboard. It's a jazzed up U2 inspired tune in F#min, with a break in Amaj. Recording some direct into desk - real time, and using a mic'd stereo track for the lead guitars (2 mics from the amp). It's all very new to me, so it will be pretty rough around the edges.

It's not real fancy, but so far the mixes sound great. I'll put an mp3 on here as soon as I finish the first one.

Looks great to me! I wish my "guitar room" was that big and had any recording gear period. Congrats on your setup.

How does that Gretsch neck feel and play compared to the Gibsons?

I really want to get some type of recording set up. I have so many riffs / songs that I want to get recorded. I got a new laptop for Christmas so I got that covered. Just need to find decent recording software that I can work with.

    Soon I hope...

It is a very nice "C", thin enough for my small hand and reach. I'm more of a "rhythmer" (like John Lennon used to say), so I don't need a jet fast feel and action. But, it works fine for my lead chops. I took out the original HiLoTron pickups, and put in crunchier PowerTrons (much higher output).

Presonus is great stuff, I just bought a firebox the other day and it's awesome. :) I almost bought the same interface.

I started out with the Firebox a year ago. Wanted more inputs, so I got the FSP. The Firebox is great!
