Hi guys, and apologies as this guitar has already been mentioned and I posted on that thread. However, I am new to the forum and just wanted to say I've been playing and collecting guitars for thirty years and in that time have played many Les Paul's. This bad boy however has to be my favourite. It's the Eastman sb59v. This particular guitar has a bitter sweet story as they only make limited numbers and it only came out this year. I was one of the first guys in the UK to order and pay for one way before they hit the shores. Mine eventually shipped this month but the idiot freight company dropped it and I had a broken headstock. Pepijn Hart (guy from Eastman who designed the sb59) offered me their prototype in classic colour (not the orange amber). What a great company and generous offer and this is it - possible future collectible. Superb woods (same source as Collings) old school construction and quality, cool vintage vibe. No I don't work for Eastman and I do own some Gibson Les Paul's but this thing is just hard to put down. Love it

Hi Kiki. Yes it's top grade fiery maple but with a varnish and french polish finish.

Eastman makes some really nice guitars. I remember asking them if they could make a semi-hollowbody with a thick neck. They wouldn't do it even with an upcharge.
