Sorry. No pics. I bought it 12 years ago for $400. Trust me. It has a maple neck and it's a Sienna Sunburst. I actually found it. Most of you know what that means. I got to playing it. Fender was going through changes back then. I have to backtrack. When I bought it, the trem was useless. The fancy Freeflyte. I could not get the trem to work. Fender was famous for trems that could be easily adjusted. Not this one. It took a bit of work to make it work. Anyway, it's fun to play "Not the Squier",

You have to understand my mixed lot on the floor and the guitars in cases. There is no way in the world to know just what I have. I'm Nuts. Electric guitars are a Dime a Dozen. I just re-found my '91 Fender Deluxe Plus.

Nuts can be common or rare. They can be spendy or not. It all depends.

I really like that Fett is a member here.

He's an asset to this Forum.
(And no, not an ass. An asset.)

Diversity of personalities make this fine place what it is.

That said, I wanna see a picture!
Of the guitar in question, just so we're clear!
    :D

    That's m'boy!

I could take snaps of all my guitars and post them on these pages, but they look just the same as all the others out there (neck; body; pickups and stuff).

    So I don't.

This is more about old v new. An '84 Strat is not that old. However, it's old enough to notice how it was made. My Strat is the model that only has two knobs and the jack in the pick guard. The Sienna Burst allows you to see the grain of the wood and how many pieces were used. I'm a big fan of old wood. As I stated before, Fender was going through major changes back then. I was looking at the new SB Strats and they cost around $1400. I have no ability to compare the new one with my old one. Apples and Oranges?

What? My '84 didn't come with a trem arm. I bought a big lot of arms. I found 3 that would work. A while back, a member was looking for the arm for his Strat. I sent him one on me. I may be what you consider a Hoarder. I do have lots of guitars and lots of parts. I wanted to make my '84 what it was. I did.

A buddy of mine brought his 84 Smith Era Strat over for a set up.
It was loaded with EMG pick ups.
He thought it was a fake Fender.
He was a bit surprised when I told him about it, & it was worth a bit more than the 200 bucks
he paid the pawn shop he got it from.
