    My 2012 epiphone lespaul honey burst , fifties wiring , bridge pickup s duncan pearly gates (cover removed) , neck position s duncan phatcat , bridge replaced with gibson bridge and stop bar aswell , guitar sounds amazing after wiring and pickups

    1995 DC Special:

    1. Neck cracks filled with CA, clamped and sanded flat.
    2. Level, recrown and polish frets, scrape and treat fretboard
    3. Refinish with ReRanch TV Yellow & Minwax gloss lacquer
    4. Wet sand and buff, hand polish with Meguires car wax
    5. Shield switch, control and pickup cavities
    6. Install SD bridge, Kent Armstrong neck pups
    7. New caps, pots, braided / cloth wire.
    8. Carve and install new bone nut
    9. Adjust relief, bridge height and intonate

    Not modded much. Jr has Bourns pots. push/pull tone bypass. GFS Slick 9.75 P-90. Dot was a headstock repair, Has faux carbon fiber headstock and Chrome pu covers, bridge and tailstock. Bridge pickup and electronics change in the future for Dot.

    Well this one took on a life of it's own. I did the repairs in exchange for a Warmouth birds eye maple/ebony tele neck with the intention to just clean up the cracks, level, rewire and set it up. A 2-day job no problem.

    But then I didn't like the bare wood showing through at the neck joint so repainted the neck and headstock. That didn't even come close to matching the body, so that had to be sanded back and lacquered too. 6 weeks and a few lacquer goofs later and finally finished. I probably have $500 into it in time and materials, so it turned out to be a really expensive tele neck!

    But that's OK, I always learn a lot and the owner is a good bud. Here's a shot of the truss rod cavity, you can just barely see one of two brass rods inserted to stabilize the headstock from the previous repair.

    Changed the knobs to Gibson black and chrome tophats, Saturday.

    Frets leveled, crowned and polished

    Switchcraft 3 way switch

    2 Duncan 59's with Allparts covers and wax potted

    CTS 500K pots, Sprague Orange Drop caps

    Switchcraft input

    Pointers, Reflector Knobs

    50's style wiring with vintage cloth wire

    TOM inserts pulled and plugged

    Bigsby

    Complete setup

    It plays and sounds great... This one was never chambered and comes in at 9.5 pounds !
