What do you think I should offer?
Unfortunate pickup route location.
My first reaction was $1K. I would wait for other opinions, though as I admittedly didn't analyze it all that much.
Just my .02c but, I'd want better pictures before you make an offer. Especially of the neck joint under the guard and the back.
Some serious red flags on this one. The neck joint being the biggest for me.
Serial # looks like "211" range wouldn't that make it a 64?
Asking people that know more about this stuff than me.
IMO, the neck joint is inconsistent with a '61, as is the lack of "Les Paul" on the TRC.
I'd rather have a 64. Fatter neck.
No contact info anyway...
Yes, a 211XXX prefix is '64, but the Les Paul Junior script has me confused..those should have been long gone by '64..
Neck joint, yes, but the truss rod cover is correct..thin, one ply black for a SG Junior. (might you have been thinking it was a Standard?)
That's fn cool. I hope you do get it and play the hell out of it.
With the pickups that close together you might get something like a strat's phased position 2 sound with them together. And it looks pretty rad IMO
since its local you can take a better look at that neck repair. These usually break there, flex it, do a lil neck bending and see if it holds tune I had an SG jr that had been repaired there, and it held fine, though the neck was so small I couldn't get comfortable & it wasn't getting played so it went away.
This neck looks kind of medium profile to me
the ad says (1000-666000000) seeming to suggest he would take the 1k bossaddict suggested.
