Not sure if they have been mentioned yet(haven't read every single post) but a couple of my most exciting memories were the demo of the "new" at the time, M1 Abrams flying down the course at 60mph over humps and bumps at Aberdeen Proving Ground and destroying every target without a miss.
The next was seeing the "new" at the time A 10 Thunderbolts maneuvering around the skies of Germany chasing each other down.
Man!!... anyone in sight of them would just look up and smile.
    Great times indeed!!

I was on the Coral Sea during the trials of the very first one. They got much faster than the 1,000 rounds a minute that the first ones did. We didn't know what they were when they were installing them, but it became evident during the first test. It was an awesome thing to witness.

No, I was at Carswell, in Ft Worth, TX. The footage I posted was not from my base, obviously.

lol, the first few months I was at my duty station, I was the lowest-ranked, and would get voluntold the task of guiding the Scout tours.

It helped me get past stage-fright, funny enough.

    I remember seeing this..
    upload_2017-10-11_7-59-25.jpeg

    Quote says:

"The Los Angeles-class attack submarine USS Scranton (SSN-756) surfaces in the North Arabian Sea while the aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN-73) cruises in the background on May 9, 1996. The George Washington and her battle group were operating in the Persian Gulf where they conducted air patrols in support of Operation Southern Watch, the U.S. and coalition enforcement of the no-fly-zone over Southern Iraq."
