    Thanks for your reply.
You're right, my explanations were not very clear.
I compare the same measurement (mahogany body+outer edge height of the maple top).
For example, Serial number 9 0663, which is Slash/Joe Perry's Les Paul that I wish to reproduce is 47,5mm thick at the end of the body (body + top).
So I wonder if the mahogany body on that guitar is thinner than 44,45mm (1 3/4") or if the top of recarve of the maple top is less than 4,76mm.
I know that I am talking about less than 2mm but I was surprised that all the measurements in the beauty of the burst were less than 49,21mm.

Hi Tom, I guess we have the same bench vise. I bought an old workbench from 50' years and look pretty identical!

I got my plans on Friday! Thank you Tom for such a quick turn-around. These plans are absolutely beautiful....if only I could stop staring at them long enough to build it!

Great thread! Do the Bartlett templates have a 5/8" offset?

I did this PDF a while back and am sure there's a bit missing but the meat and potatoes are there. Someone could continue where it stops. However it exceeds the max file size to post here.

Until recently I couldn't register as a member for some reason so this will be my first post.

I'd like to thank everyone for the knowledge shared and especially Tom for this thread as it was a major contributor to the success of my first build.
So, thank you and greetings to all.
