Is that your 'lil '59er Flick? Mine will be similar, but will "correct" something that always bugs me about those smaller scale guitars...the body shape. I have a little collection of the small, 3/4 size LP knockoffs (none as nice as the one you show), and every one has a body with a shape that's not quite right. Here is what mine will look like, although it will be a flametop:
no Frank the "lil' 59'er" is still under construction think in the aging wood mode
This one is only 24 " long
OK, now I see the lil '59er up there:
That's more like it!
I see you got the body shape correct too. And originally, I had planned on putting in two mini-humbuckers like you did, but decided to go with just a single full size for this first one.
I see a Lotus baby Paul.....
I had a D'Mini with two mini humbuckers, GAWD I wish I still had it!
I'll have to dig up my minis one of these days and take some pictures of them. Here's the only one that I already have a picture of:
Midnight just shat.
have a large collection of mini's LP , Vee's . Strats . Explorer . tele. Bass
it's my guitar's mini-me!
Flash where did you get your mini les paul??
those are cool.
I have a question...please.
I have a D'mini Les Paul as shown in the pic above as owned by "FLICKO FLASH" ...My question is..what gauge strings do you string it with and at what tuning do you use?
Thank you kindly!
anybody know who built the mini les paul eddie van halen used on little guitars?
Bump so that "Flickoflash" might answer my question.
tune it up to A on low string so be like normal guitar capoed at 5th fret
Wow! Thank you kindly Sir....I never would have thought of that!
BTW....what gauge strings do you use?
As a follow-up, what gauge string would you use, considering the extra tension? 9's?
FWIW, on my octave guitars, which are tuned up a full octave, I use 8's.
you can use regular as it will be in same tenson tuned up
