Already gone, lol.
the shop never answered me back on that OBG FV.
Bank transfer 191K yen

A little steep. IMHO
These are really nice. Basically a Bacchus Classic Series with solid flame top. Better pickups than the classic series
Nice deal, pretty rare.
That shouldn't last too long.
I thought those KTR pickups were pretty standard MIJ stuff. Anyone try them out?
They arent anything like the nfs weep pickups but they are quite ok standard pickups and imo better than the bacchus classic series pickups. They can always be swapped with something else. But the top on that OMG! And you know the neck is gonna be huge...drool
Thanks, and agreed it is a real looker of a guitar so pickups can be changed out to whatever works.
Deviser made Crews w Gibson burstbuckers.
https://www.digimart.net/cat01/shop5088/DS04245929/ - 1982 Greco Mint Collection 59-850 transition model with fret edge binding, nitro and I presume a long neck tenon. I've seen these go for 1.5x the price of this listing.
It's got the gold grovers; take the nickel bridge cover off and you've got yourself a cheap page-inspired les paul. What does @wulfman think?
EDIT: I've just sent an inquiry so fair game, gentlemen. If one of you gets it, you better post a review!
I've got the equivalent 1981 Super Real, which I dropped Double Tricks from my 1982 68-80 into. They certainly work in mine
I'm really hoping it won't be gone tomorrow. And I'm hoping they'll have someone who speaks English to reply. AND hopefully they'll set the customs price to 80,000 yen when I buy a hardcase for it; This guitar looks good, but I don't know if it's worth paying another $300 in customs charges for. Otherwise... that crews above is looking tasty, I don't know how it isn't gone yet at that price.
Do you prefer the Double Tricks or the Dry Z?
I've never had or tried Zs, the Tricks get the "ghost note" that the Zs are renowned for, but Zs reportedly nail vintage PAF tones. Different magnets, wire and possibly wind. Wulfman had this one with its factory PU-2s IIRC. I think JDB took 'em out when he owned it, and had a set of Zs in it for a while. I bought it from the guy JDB sold it to, couldn't get the Gibson 490R/498T out fast enough
Pu-2, Double Tricks, Z's, Dry 82s all are good pickups to get different PAF flavors. That EG59-85 looks decent enough to me and the price is certainly fair IMO.
Alright @wulfman, @jimmyjames. I bought it! I'll post a NGD in a week or so. My bank account is going to be feeling this one for a while but I simply couldn't resist.
If you want highend mij with ultimate specs this is your ride
thats a stunner...
Not cheap but considering the specs the buy it now price isnt too bad
