I hope he doesn't ask if top wrapping is ok.:laugh2:

Seriously, that would be awesome. I would imagine he might prefer to remain anonymous though.

I had the honor of sitting in and tearing it up with Michael last night and during the course of our conversation afterward (I don't remember everything, its a bit blurry since it took place at 3am) talking about guitars, amps, internet, etc he asked me if I head of or knew the MyLesPaul Forum. I obliged and tried to encourage him to get on here.

I've only met one big musician in my life, was like a dream come true. You wouldn't say by watching the concerts or videos how shy and quiet the person really was. Very interesting.

I hope if he joins here he's treated with the respect he deserves. Last thing I'd wanna see is one of those punks who love to come here to post crap try to give it to him!

I'm sure Mike won't take any crap from anyone--he's the one living the life on the road. :D

Matt...lucky you. If I'd stayed to the end of his set in STL I might of had a chance to play as well. Unfortunately my buddy that went with me needed to get up early Saturday. :(

I JUST discovered Michael Burks today after seeing his picture in another thread.....so, I went to check him out on YouTube. He's awesome!!!

Thanks to this forum, (in which I read more than post), I have learned about artists I would never discovered otherwise...................I first heard about Bonamassa on this site.

Great stuff!! :applause: Love the tone, his voice, and his style.

Guys like Joe B. and Gary Moore get a little too widdly for me, so I have to take them in small doses....but Mr. Burks sounds like something I could listen to all the time.

Gonna pickup a few of his recordings next time I'm out buying music. :thumb:

+1 I've only got "Iron Man" so far but love it. Some of that album puts me in mind of the Muddy Water Blues album that Paul Rodgers put out in the early 90's.

So... how do I get Burks Tone? :fingersx:

Ya... we're going to have to go see him in SF.

Funny thing is, they have to hide stuff form the skinny keyboard player, because he'll out-eat all of them! :D

All kidding aside, Mike's tone is very easy to get...buy a Dr Z SRZ-35 from Brett at Eddies...then run it through a Z-Best cab. :D

Add a compressor for a bit of boost, and there ya go.

Oh--don't forget to add an R8, upgrade the pickups, then prepare to serve up some awesome tone.

Now, Mike's feel is another issue... :D
