Glad to see the pickups are going well!

Just wondering, how long have you been winding pickups for? You seem to be very popular.

I was an assembler for W B for about a year and a half but got out when he owed me and was not paying bad story. So on my way back to San Jose in 2009
I made a phone call to my now partner wanting to know if he was down to start something fresh and new. More modern winds than standard stuff. He said lets do it. I got the machine about a month later and started designing stuff. Sold my first set April 2010 and have not looked back. And thank you for the inquiry.

The long part is the wind and the leads. I triple tape my leads in case of breakage for easy repaire so that takes some time. Assembly when I am in a groove maybe 20 minutes a set including WAX time if needed.

Yes my bench is a Fender tweed case. I have everything in my Bedroom at the moment. Kids are home from school so it makes it nice. I can wind for a couple hours then hang with the kiddies for awhile. The part that sucks is that well no big amps and no press for the slugs doing it all by hand for the time being.

Thanks for the update, but don't worry about me Rayne! I'm still amazed that they are pumping out so quickly. I would have never thought that They'd be in the mail in less than a week!! It's all gravy for me. :dude:

Well here is another update. Everything is wound now.

    From front left to right:
Front left the NAFP + winds
Back- All the Hot n Soggies
To the right and back. 2/3rds of the stuff for the Philly show. Still have to do Home Wreckers HDB's and a couple others. I will be doing all the assembly of the left side of the bench tomorrow and the Philly stuff Sunday and Monday. So far in the last 2 days I have done over 24 sets built , boxed and shipped and wound another what ever is in that picture. I am tired and going to relax for a bit.

    Peace and tone.

    Rayne.

Well I am calling it quits tonight. I sent an over night to a guy that has a gig and sent the wrong guy his pups. No wonder he was ecstatic. Night all.

Its good to see a winder's supplies, workbench, and process. It instills confidence in the prospective buyer, knowing that they're getting the real deal, and not some second rate, pre wound product.

    Kudos!
