not the easiest track to get in to somehow...must have restarted 50 takes before this!
pentatonic and my old fav preset seemed to help
Vintage V100 LP and a POD XT

No worries. I think I did about a dozen starts before I even started recording anything. Sounds great!

I've been traveling with spotty data coverage and finally had a chance to listen to everybody.

parts - love the dueling guitars!

neuby - very melodic and it's great to see vids and learn how the magic happens

frank - great take per usual. always amazed by the runs

gadafi - I had to look up what mixolydian meant. I play mostly by ear, so we're in the same boat. Your take had great dynamics and I liked the laid back feel you had going.

paradise - great tone and professional sounding all around

    Great stuff guys :applause:

Thanks a lot parts! To be honest, I've only been playing again for about a year and a half (about the time I signed up here) after a ten year hiatus. Mostly just played in my teens and early 20's. So I wasn't even sure how my playing sounded. I do feel like I've improved a lot since I started in these backing track threads, and that's mostly due to listening to all of you and how everyone approaches each track. Maybe I'll bump it up to "par".

lots of band crapolo to deal with this month. I wish people could bring sobriety as well as talent to the equation...

My offering this month of sorts. Feeling out of sorts..

Recorded this with my Blonde telecaster, neck pickup.

    Far out.

My plans for the song are to work on how I play the notes and mess around with it more.. then re-record it.

What I want to add is some vibrato to some of the notes in parts. That will add loads, IMO.
