Maplewood Les Paul

    so i was thinking of making myself a maple wood Les Paul, do you guys think its a good idea?

    Depends how heavy you like your guitars. It will end up heavier than a typical mahogany/maple cap combo unless you do weight relief cavities. Maybe baked maple would be closer to the weight of mahogany. I am not sure how much lighter on average normal vs. baked maple is though. Would like to know if there are any stats on that.
