    Hi All,

    Made by Guild apparently..

    Little project on..

    What would you do?

i have enough hardware knocking about.

Tokai humbuckers, faded bridges n stoptails, would be nice to keep the original tuners but practicality dictates new ones, Wilkinson type chromed tulips I have spare. Chrome bridge n stoptail then..

To strip or not to strip?

I haven't had strings on her yet to assess the situation,
Frets are low but have got enough to work with if need be.
    Who likes refretting ???

    So what d'yall reckon.?

Personally, I 'd leave the finish alone.
Looks to be an Matsumoko made one, around the 84 mark. The neck joint is a dead give away.

Yeah, I agree, fine sand and a couple of coats of shellac I'm thinking.

Not even. Just put the parts on, and enjoy her in her natural state.
Reason being, the shellac may not stick tot he original poly finish.

Very Ibanez Artist looking guitar. Looks much like one that Hondo put out as well I think under their Professional series lineup.

    Fret dress and polish

    new cheap tuners,

    70's Tokai humbuckers

    new bone nut

    she's beautiful!
    Warm warm pickups,
    definately deserves better tuners,
I have some gotohs but not keen to re-drill the headstock.

    Cheap restoration of a little cracker! _MG_9514.jpg _MG_9515.jpg _MG_9516.jpg
