Why is the OP never updated?
Anybody in North Dakota?? I use to take my guitars to Marguerites Music in Moorehead MN.
But the guy their retired when I lived in Denver. Now I live in Devils Lake ND, and can't seem to find anyone.
I'm looking for a good luthier in the Atlanta area. Surely someone out there knows of one. I haven't had my guitars looked at since I moved to the south.
I noticed a few people asking for a UK List. I have just started a Tech - Repair business in the UK (South West) and am looking to grow my business.
I have not posted much on mylespaul but have learned a great deal from this great site. I have been working on guitars since the late 70s starting with basic setups through to full custom builds but have been employed in the electronics industry (23 years) and for the last six years I have been a high school teacher (Engineering and Construction) but I cannot keep away from guitars so I am trying now to make a living from it.

I aim to post any interesting work I gain or if there is something I am doing that others may find interesting.
Support much appreciated
Very surprised Joe Glaser isn't on the Nashville list. He's only like the best tech in the Tri-state area. He was the first guy to tech others in the USA how to use a PLEK machine, fixes all the Nashville Stars guitars and worked with Gibson on the B-Bender. Best shop I've ever been too and reasonable rate. He's about a mile from Guitar Center in Nashville. I highly suggest if your anywhere within 3 hours of his shop.
Anyone have a recommendation for installing new frets on my Gibson G0 in the Saint Louis area?
We have 3 different luthiers at our disposal near the Atlanta area. It depends on which side of town your closest to and the work that needs to be done.Members an email us and we can put you into contact with one of them.
Anyone know of a good guitar tech in UK, (Midlands pref). I need my Tele setting up well.

Anyone looking for UK based techs/ Luthiers, I found my previous tech on this list, Justin (JMO).
It's a pretty good list, not sure how often it gets updates
Anyone in the tampa bay area willing to take on a apprentice in the business of lutherie? I'm self-taught with many of the basic routines of maintaining electric guitars and basses, but I really want to not only learn how to perform more advanced feats of repair, but to also learn about building completely from scratch not only electrics, but acoustics as well.
PMs are appreciated!
Nobody has ANYTHING for Illinois/Chicago??
I just found out about Lay's Guitar and purchased a completely rebuilt 1976 Les Paul custom "black beauty" off Dan. Incredible work and Dan is very fair in his pricing. He's now setting up a Strat for me.
alot of these links are dead.
I know most are custom luthiers that own their own shop, but I work for Guitar Center in Columbus, Ohio. I've got quite a bit of experience and for those jobs that need work outside my comfort zone, we have several extremely talented amp and woodworking specialists that I can connect you with in town.

Michael Karriker - He's a graduate of the Roberto Venn School of Luthiery and does a great job with setups, pickup installs, just about anything you might need. Very reasonable prices, and he guarantees his work. Very nice guy too.
