Does anyone have a set of early 60's SG plans or have a link for them? I am trying to get exact specs for specifically the control cavity. Any help is much appreciated as I cannot find any online or with a forum search.

    Thanks
    Mike

I've been planning make a set of plans for an SG based on my 1961 Standard but I just haven't been able to find time to do so. I'll make it a point this weekend to get started by documenting the control cavity.

I should be getting some real work done right now but its all too easy for me to blow it off and work on the fun stuff instead. I've made an accurate drawing of my 1961 SG Standard's control cavity. Drop me an email and I can send a file to you you can print at true scale.

Can someone give me the thickness of an SG's body?
I have a three piece plank of oak in the shop that's 1-1/2" thick that's screaming to become something..
It was the end plank of a church pew that was tossed out a few months ago.. Heavy BUT a SG imo has a thin body, Never had one.. Wonder why?? I need a project to fill my time this fall/winter..

I was mistaken.. Never wrong.. The plank is 1-1/4".. It'll need to be flattened & a top glued on to it make a guitar body of any kind.. Oh well.. It's HOLY..
