I currently play a Mark IV Short Head with a Recto 4x12 cab. Lately I've been chasing the classic tones, Led Zep, Buffalo Springfield, and not so classic like Red Hot Chili Peppers. Hearing tones of the Lone Star on youtube has really turned me on. So question is.........Is the Mark IV worth trading for a Lone Star Classic?

I've heard some demos played on that amp and were great sounding. Think the guy was Michael Hedges.

Heck you'll never know till you go try one out for your self, is there a dealer anywhere near you?

Found it, guys name is Andy Timmons Xotic Reality Web Video

I've played an LSS and it sounded GREAT... but never the classic. I'd assume they are similar in some aspects.

I dunno though... I'm a huge MKIV fan... of the combos more so than the heads... Aren't the MKIV's quite expensive compared to the LoneStar?
