I hate the sound of his guitar...dialed down it has zero character, and when juiced up is over compressed...I know that's his tone though.
I did like the singing--he has a great voice.
While not my cup of tea, I think Jimi would have nodded his approval for the avante-guard rendition.
His version Kinda reminded me of yours Greg. When you played it for when your buddys wife ( sandy if I recall ) died. I to this day think that may be the best tone Ive ever heard (your playing)
Thought it looked funny when I typed it; now I know why.
I loved her. She was awesome.
The vid in question....

Nice job, Greg. That guitar doesn't seem suited for that particular song, but you wrenched a truckload of feeling out of it.
Very well done, sir.
Its like jimi did, He made his strat sound like Mt. St. Helens. Strats didnt sound like that , they sounded like dick dale and such.

Check out some of the Pearl Jam vids on youtube. Mike does a great job on guitar.

This sounds exactly as it should...considering it's steve vai playing "Little Wing"
On a brighter note, Clapton and Winwood's recent live version of Little WIng is fantastic.
Yeah.. the clapton one was good. Saw it on TV.

After hearing the original version for so many years, it just seems like something is missing from this one. He does have a lot of talent - I'll give him that.
