We have threads dedicated to the pricey Les Pauls so what about the lowly Studio, it seems there's a lot of people here that love their Studios so let's see them. And to everyone who says that they're inferior...well :sadwave:

    I'll start:

And sorry if this has been done before. :slash:

I agree. My first LP was a '99 Classic and it was awesome in every department - looks, feel, tone, vibe. I currently have a '94 Studio that kills the classic in every area except the looks. It's beaten, battered, and greasy - but it kicks serious ass.

I have a les Paul standard now which I love but it all started with a fire burst studio. I loved the sound of that guitar so much I put the same pickups in my standard.

I've noticed the sig before, I like it. Where'd you get those knobs by the way. I'm thinking of putting black top hats on mine but those look pretty sweet. I've never been a fan of the speed knobs.

Yea, Im not a big fan of speed knobs either. The ones on mine are reflector knobs. They were on the guitar when I got it. Allparts carries them though. They are all over ebay as well.

I just found this too. http://www.guitarpartsresource.com/guitarknobs_gibson.htm

    Cool, thanks.

And great pics guys, there's something about the simplicity of the Studio that really appeals to me.

Brought her home today after work, frets leveled, intonation set, Jonesy's wiring, 3way switch and input jack installed. Tried top wrapping this time. Haven't even had time to play her yet.

Thanks, she looks much better with the black hardware, imo. Can't wait to get her home and dial in some different tones on the SpiderValve.

Just had this put together along with a set of Gold reflectors for my Jr. from Jonesy. You won't go wrong with this fellow and he's one of our own back here.

The LP Studio is by far my favorite LP model...here are some of my favorites from my revolving collection over the past few years, the second one (yellow faded) was a worn brown that I refin'ed myself, others are mostly factory with a few mods, I had the green metallic color custom mixed and painted at a local shop. I love studios !!!

Ric, he's been great to work with and I couldn't agree more. I'm sure you're getting ready to have some serious tone after your goodies get to you. Mine are do in this Friday. I'm going with a Sheptone P90-H in Gold on my next purchase. Congratulations man. Let me know how it sounds when you've completed your fix.:D
