In the 17-23rd fret range, the strings when played, are hitting the neck pickup/humbucker.
Specifically, low E string hits the pickup starting at fret 18, A string at 20, D at 21, G at 20, B at 18, High e at 17. At these points, the string when pushed down are not hitting the fretboard for the most part, because they are hitting the humbucker.

Is there anyway I can fix this? Also, open low e string buzzes, im thinking i might just need a higher nut, but I don't know, maybe it's related.

-Use the two screws on the neck pickup mounting frame to lower it ;)
-a good starting point for pickup height IME is: 1,5mm treble side, 2,5mm bass side with the string pressed at the last fret. Distance measured from pickup to bottom of the string
-press down the low e at the third fret, the string should now have a minimal distance to the first fret. Thickness of a sheet of printer paper. If it touches the fret, the nut is cut too low. Fill up with super glue for a temporary fix.
