    Hi All,

Just recently picked up a 1974 Les Paul Recording in very good condition but it had a non original volume knob and I can't seem to locate an exact replacement, the diameter at the top is smaller than all of the reissue knobs I've seen, these are suppose to be 60's replica's, so were the 70's knobs a smaller diameter or are the reissues incorrect?

Could somebody point me in the direction of a correct size reissue or if a genuine 60's or 70's knob would be the best choice.

Ideally I'd like a complete set of knobs but the places I've tried can't make a one off knobs with custom printing i.e. DECADE, BASS & TREBLE knobs.

    TIA

I have a 72 LPR bass with those reflectors. I also have a LPC with re-issue reflectors. I'll try and compare them with a caliper and report back within a day...but it would not surprise me at all if those are Norlin specials that are not being reproduced.

They aren't..the original reflectors are indeed smaller in diameter.

    Best bet is eBay..for originals.

There are some 60's ones on eBay currently, the best condition one is in a 2 set with a tone for $US125 which is more than I would like to spend:

There is also a set of 4 in good condition (probably a little better than the other 3 on my guitar) with no lettering, is it possible to remove the inserts from my knobs and put them in these?
