Gibson Les Paul '58 Reissue Guitar 1997, Historic Collection R8 flametop re-issue, fine condition - a bedroom guitar that was never played out, with all tags (lots!), highly figured top with highly sought after lemonburst finish, Les Paul strings and guitar pick, reissue brown hard case (SN 8 7747). This tone monster was purchased off the wall from the (in)famous Vintage World Guitars in Cranston, RI way back in February 1998. Say what you will about the store, but visiting that place and seeing sixty Historics on the wall was awe-inspiring. The original case was swapped out at the same store a few years later when the repro brown Liftons came out. Has Uncle Lou tips, and comes with pickguard and pocker chip, which I chose to remove to better show the flame. A couple of the tuner buttons show slight splitting at the bottom along the seam but have always operated perfectly - no biggie. Great sound from the Classic '57 pickups, and good weight at right around 8.9 lbs. on the bathroom scale. This guitar is about to turn 18yo and has the tone that that old wood brings. There are slight signs of playing - maybe a little tarnish here or a slight mark there. But it would look new on the wall at GC. Definitely babied. Gonna roll this one out at $3495 shipped in USA lower 48 with payment by paypal gift.
Wow, that's just gorgeous! My R8 (SN 8 7697) is probably from the same batch. Someone is going to get a very nice guitar! GLWTS!

He most certainly won't make a grand if bought at $3495. 4195-250 (seller fee)-125 (pp fee) = $3820 his way. Profit of $325. Maybe he didn't like the neck, weight whatever. I have sold plenty here, and honestly, once I sell you the guitar, it's yours. Do what you want with it. No big deal.
