Know anything about these guitars? I saw one at my local music store. It looks like the one in the photo below. It is a 1980 with all original parts and looks to be very good condition. The fretboard is ebony and the Gibson logo is burned into the heastock,I guess that is why the call it a "Firebrand".It comes with the original chainsaw style case. The price is $599.

It still looks weird to see a Lew Paul with toggle switch not on the upper bout.

But these guitars definitely have their fans--worth checking out.

I have the 335-S version of this. Very cool guitar! These are great raw Rock & Roll machines. Mine came with Dirty Fingers in it. That looks like a really good deal. If it speaks to you, go for it! :dude:

    Snatch it up quickly!

The Chainsaw case alone is worth a few hundred buck$$$$$

If you ever plan on selling the t-tops, I have a 79 LP that could use them.

I had one of those, but it was a double-cut, not a 335-s.
I really liked that guitar and regret selling it-
I've never seen another double-cut version since, either, wish I had pics.

Great deal on that, those are awesome guitars.

I've tried a few "The Paul" 's and loved them, even with the walnut body/neck. The Firebrands should be even better being all mahogany.

I have a GK-55 which is essentially a bolt on version of this and it's my main player.

I owned a "The SG" years ago (80's) and it was a nice guitar, if I remember right it had an ebony board. I ended up painting it pearl pink, installed a Kahler and EMG's and then eventually sold it. I blame it on the 80's!!!!!
