    The irony of course would be if that's the one time the headstock didn't break on a Les Paul

    On the plus side, when the headstock does break, you can stab someone with the neck.

    I had a Norlin Custom that had the binding missing on the top of the headstock. The story was that some drunk came at the previous owner while he was on stage. The owner poked the guy in the mouth (kocking out his teeth) with the headstock end of the guitar....but only the binding was lost. It was a three piece maple neck. Strong as a baseball bat!
