I've spoke to Vic numerous times recently and have submitted a whole bunch of photo's for a run in September so I'm presuming it's #2 he's still working on. The cut off period may be up for submissions now so best to check. No harm in dropping Vic a mail anyhow.

Drew Berlin mentioned to me few months ago the next burst believer book which he has been working on with Vic Dapra.
For burst serial, I want to take some nice looking pictures in the coming weeks.
There will be an article about the guitar with pictures and an interview in September October in a french magazine 'guitare vintage' :dude:

The book is in the layout stage now but I agree, JC should send him a few pics as a late entry. Like you said, it can't hurt.
Looking forward to seeing your submissions to BB#2, Rich.:)

I don't remember which guitar. The track was recorded dry then re-amped back through multiple twin reverbs while adjusting the trem speed by hand.

I bought a brown Fender Concert from John Porter back about 15+ years ago. It was a great sounding amp. I regret selling it. He later told me that it was used on some of the Smiths recordings. Sadly, the most I know about the smiths is Mojo Nixon covering "Girlfriend in a Coma". Well, also some stuff that Johnny Marr did with Neil Finn. :slash:..

Way off topic from the thread...

A Replica is a Replica as we all know Bernard. Some agree some don't. Since they did not answer your question for you, here is a Headstock pic of my Bartlett. :)

What people do with their money is really none on anyone's business IMHO as long as they are not hurting anyone.

Awesome Black Burst IMHO. :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :thumb: :applause:

Bernard you do realize that many of these high end Replicas are in many ways equal to & in many cases better than many of Vintage Guitars out there. :)

    Cheers, Rudi

I got nuttin. Every guitar plays, sounds and feels different. On different days, I prefer different guitars. That's one of the reasons I like to have several. I don't think this question or the "burst killer" theory can ever be answered or proven...one way or the other.

When a high end Luthier builds a guitar with old wood and attention to detail, no doubt it is going to be an awesome guitar. The electronics also come into play. The old pots, caps and pickups seem to make a difference.

We will all go to our graves not knowing the answer to these great mysteries and leave it to the next generation to fight about. They won't know either and I won't give a shit.

I'd much rather own a killer replica with an honest label than with an illegitimate Gibson label.

Slightly OT, but since there's so much talk of the Hunter Burst, there's a pic of me playing with Slash in "Reckless Road." Bonus points to anybody who finds it.
