    Trying to replicate The tone of Led’s second album with a budget gear.

    Nice technique. Try getting the mic closer to the speaker to capture the natural sustain.

    You also might want to try a tele.

    I thought LZII was the album on which JP started using his LP more. The first album is the tele one, right?

    Not as far as I`ve ever heard.
    Personally I can get anything from II with a tele.

    Zep II has both Tele and LP. Listen to Heartbreaker and tell me if that's a Tele! Whole Lotta Love is most likely the Tele with a pedal. Everything is multi tracked which complicates things. I think The Lemon Song has both.
