Slowride - Foghat
I just had to sit through a couple of hours of Paul McArtney stuff.
Holly crap! What a lame ass catalogue of music.
Anything by Queen, except News of the World album.
'Bicycle' makes me contemplate a tragic suicide.
The discographies of Jimi Hendrix, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Eric Clapton.
Not as bad as Greta Van Fleet, but the aforementioned do make quite the snooze-fest.
edit: I just realized this is an older thread with my answer not unlike the above one. Oh, well. Still not changing it, though.
So...this is interesting, and sort of demonstrates the futility of discussing the 'quality' of any music. Folks like what they like, and asking someone to talk about how or why they like a certain song is like asking someone why they like chocolate, or cake. We just like what we like.
Some of the songs in here (Silly Love Songs, for instance) are on my 'favorites' list, and I just listened to that 'Shake' by Joe Perry all the way through, and quite liked it.
You can argue about how simple, how repetitive or derivative a song is, but you really can't argue with someone LIKING it, can you.
Everyone of them. All of them lame as hell ,, I wish I had written most of themmm ,, I would go out to the mailbox and get my residual check and laugh and shake my ass at the world on my way to the bank !!!
But this one does . . .
Bicycle is tragically terrible. Not a real fan of Queen meself. Brian May does make for great guitar music though.
Certainly. I LOVE 'News of the World' and Brian's AWESOME guitar work on it. I just don't know what happened to them after that. 'Waiting for the Hammer to Fall' rocks quite hard too!
