Awesome thread! I've made a bunch of tools for cutting, stamping, turning, etc. but never actually sat down to make myself a nice knife. I've got to do that, sometime.

Those grinders are basically a miniature version of the machines that gave PAF covers their distinctive shape and dimples.

I wonder if you made the one my old drummer, Jeff Sanchez bought? You describe it just like he did and I think he said it was locally made.

Where I am, there is no code.

*Was calculating the slope of the slant roof last night, me and my buddy brought up "snow load" and we both giggled!

LOL, yep we have to deal with that too. Some winters we have to shovel the snow off of the roof of the old section of our cabin. First we make a path to the outhouse, priorities. :)

Maybe Idk. I made a bunch of them and Myers masks and hocks. (I've actually had the itch to paint some jason hocks lately, must be the halloween season.)

Right when I got tired of making all the stuff eBay and the "underground" mask/prop community exploded and prices started getting ridiculous. :laugh2:

The bubble popped though. You can get some decent stuff now pretty cheap. For a while though prices were really crazy on anything good. Because most companies were one guy making stuff by hand.

...I really liked that though. It's more an art piece that way. I use to say I made them by, "By a Fan, for the Fans."

my gloves were crazy accurate. Even had the angle on the pinky ring, which 99.9% of gloves do not have, because it's a lot harder to make that top pinky ring angled than it is to do it straight across like all the other rings.

and my leather had all the rips in the right spots where most (still) do not.

I suppose if you're not set up to deal with it, it would get messy. I rather enjoy a good snowstorm now and then.

Me too. If its gonna be cold, I want snow on the ground. Trouble is, if we get 3 inches its total chaos.

Got some work done Sunday... it's ready to get a roof on it now... Should be in the dry this time next week!

I didnt get to work on it Saturday, I went to another auction. Scored some goodies there too. Got a bunch of brass & copper sheeting, a couple 1.25" aluminum plates about 14" in diameter and a 12 ton press. The auction had some really good stuff, but were going for stupid prices. I sniped some good deals though.

seriously the weather's been nice, sun is shining, leaves are turning colors. It'd be nice to be out driving some nails and sawing some wood.

    Good times.
