    Hi Rob,
I can't find the Contact Us link but what's happening is my browser (Safari on iOS) gets hijacked about one out of every 5-6 visits to MLP and it goes to promote fine.com

If you have a fix, please let us know.

New one today, got it twice. Love how it uses the Google logo and isn't Google.
Plus I've never looked at porn with my phone so that's right out.

.. of course both times i got hit was when on MLP.

    Screenshot_20170712-005426.png

Same bs as usual. Hijacks the site and vibrates the phone.

This is really getting old. This is real bs malicious stuff trying to scare people into installing garbage. People who don't know better might fall for it.

This is really terrible MLP. Very malicious with its lies and scare tactics.

On a serious note, seriously, you will find that most "professional" porn sites take great care about avoiding viruses etc. they invest serious amouts in technology, more than many other content providers.

I read a lot of tech advancements come from the porn world. Kind of funny.

As I said in the "wife sharing" thread: The two main things that drive internet technology are porn, and the military.

well I thought the previous crappy "you've won" adware crap was bad, but this new one is basically "step 1: download something awful. step 2: RUN something awful."

That is SERIOUSLY bad news. MLP needs to fix that ASAP.

this hijacking ad-crap is just getting ridiculous. Who knows what that thing does but it's nothing good. And if someone gets their phone ruined just because they visited MLP that's just total BS.

I'm not trying to start a philosophical debate here. I think even if that needed to happen, it would be better off in another thread anyway. I'm not trying to make a sale. I'm just trying to pass on a simple tidbit of information.

I happen to be one of those who believes MLP deserves a nickel a day in support from me.
Now that's been bumped another nickel a day for ad free.
I don't have a problem with that. If you do happen to have a problem with it, I don't argue your position in any way. I get it.

I totally agree this is wrong and needs to be fixed. It bothers me greatly that I'm losing access to being around some people I enjoy being around. Still, regardless of your position on the subject and even if you consider it to be straight up ransom, I have to say that for a dime a day it all goes away. This stuff is freaking me out. I'm glad I ponied up. I'm glad I'm missing it all. If I was on the other side of the fence, I think I would begrudgingly go ahead an pay the dime a day for my own safety, at least until it's all figured out.

I'm getting these same messages on my iPad and iPhone constantly, and it only seems to happen when I'm on MLP, making coming to this site absolutely unbearable. And unfortunately, I have to use my iPad most of the time these days, versus my computer. It's one of the reasons I rarely come on the forum these days.

I think this isn't about having some ads shown or not, but this is malware - something that can damage your phone or computer ! And that just doesn't fly, the need to generate revenue doesn't excuse this IMHO.

And it either forces people to use adblockers or not come to the site at all, which means not only a total loss of revenue, but also that this forum loses valuable members.

Just to be clear, I totally agree!!!!! It freaks me out.
That's why I referred to it as ransom.
Just noting that I'm glad I dropped the twenty and consider it well spent to not have to deal with it.

Totally ridiculous this hasn't been resolved yet.

In my previous post I said that it only happens on my iPad, not my iPhone. Eventually I installed AdBlock on the iPad and that resolved the problem.

Today, it started happening on my iPhone. I just installed AdBlock on the iPhone as well. Sorry site admins but you are not going to get any ad money from me anymore because you failed to control your ads.

There's a lot of different AdBlock apps in the App Store. The one that worked for me is free, and it's called "AdBlock for Mobile" by BETAFISH INC. This one - https://getadblock.com

Same thing happening on my iPad. In fact, it happened twice while trying to write this post. It only happens on MLP.

My pop up block setting is "on", but ineffective against these ads. Making use of the site impossible. I'm out until the mods get a handle on this.

Disabling the built in JavaScript and Pop-Up settings is ineffective. You need to install the AdBlock app.

makes you wonder what's the point of having ads if everyone is blocking them?

before people let the ads run. How much revenue is being generated if no one's clicking on them or seeing them?

..there needs to be balance. No one minded the Ads before. We even liked some of them (like Gregs Guitars.)

I like how it automatically assumes "adult sites".

No more "scare tactics". Now they just try to "guilt" people into clicking.

and it's probably safe to assume you're not installing 'Antivirus 2017' so much as 'Trojan that fcks your sht up 2017'. :laugh2:

when I visit a new site and get hijacked I never return to that site. Maybe it's not fair but better safe than sorry.
