    Sounds good Doug.

I still have to do decide about the controls too. I'm more of a master volume type of player, though the versatility of the seperate volumes is nice at times. The switch on the upper horn is a must either way for me though. I found it a bit out of reach for me on the Express.

    Sounds do able :D

I'm with you, I MUCH prefer a master volume and there is an electric benefit to not having 2 pots in parallel.

Heck I guess you could do a master volume, 2 tones and a spin a split?

Call me at the shop tomorrow, I'll be around... we'll brain storm.

I'm thinking master volume/master tone, with the switch on the upper horn will be the way to go. Coil tap on the tone knob.

I'll be working all day tomorrow. But if I get a good break in I'll give you a call.

Doug, I'll give you a call tomorrow and we can talk pickups and neck carves.

Whats a good time for you?

Is that your shop number up above?

Mine's 707.363.4127, just so you know who's calling.

    Scott

Anytime Scott, I'm there 8-3 for sure.

Honestly, I'm wet sanding Michael Burks guitar right now, I'd be happy for the distraction ;) That 538 number rings the shop AND my cell.

Haha, wish I had known ealier, I'm heading out to work here in a few minutes. Guess I should have called ealier, didn't want to interrupt any important work though ;)

I'll probably give you a call around 2-ish. Gives me a little more time to brainstorm.

Ekoms...I do have a suggestion on your Daylighter (this might give Doug a headache, but in my mind it's worthy). If you go for the 1 volume/tone setup, see if you can get a master coil tap that throws both pickups into single coil mode. It's totally worth it! (It's been my experience that there's something about that horn on top that gives it...a very, distinctive tone..the closest to a Strat I've heard...)

That was my plan, actually. I have master taps on two of my guitars currently, and I use em pretty often.

Those banshee's are killer. I want one

The Banshee's are neat, I love them but all 4 of mine have sat in their cases since I built my first Daylighter. Its what I love about my Banshee's but in a more comfortable, versatile package.

    Now THIS guy:

With the maple carved back... well I'm REALLY excited about that guy.

    Thanks buddy!

Later today it'll be up and playing. I think I'm going to bring a long a set of gold reflectors when I give it to Mike... they'd look better but the Tele knobs are a 1000x more functionable. That knurling is just about impossible to beat.
