It's all good Mark, I appreciate your kind comments and thanks for dropping in on this thread.
And you may never see it (in person) again...
I know where you live!
When that custom made SRV neck comes in, that Strat is suppose to be heading up to me at some point. Casey just mail the body to me, and Hyper you mail the neck up here and after I get it all wired up and set, float the trem I will just hold on to it for a little bit. It will be nice to have a Strat around the house for a while anyways. I know quite a few SRV tunes I will break it in right for you
im suprised a Jimi fan like you doesnt have at least one strat already
Once I get the neck, I'll definitely be sending it your way. When you're done giving it some Mojo, no hurry sending it back. Play it for a few and lay down some SRV clips.
Yeah Strats come and go, been thinking about putting one together when I get done with all these Tele's
Here is the last one I had, it was a beautiful American Standard, got it in a trade for an LP the day after Jimi's birthday and the day before mine a about year ago
I will be looking forward to working on that one for you bro. Let me know if you want me to relic it for you while it's here
that (SRV) guitar looks like it could use a few trips down a flight of stairs to get that right "aging"
Yeah the SRV needs some mojo.
The Blue Strat was mint when I got it and long story but the white pearl pick guard was off of a Blonde American Strat I had sold to his cousin a year before that.
I have a few ideas already about my Hendrix Strat build but that will be another thread
i didnt mean yours, i mean Hypers
Yeah sorry, I edited my post after I realized that
i do agree that some/most guitars are nicer clean and shiny
Jonesy you are a great builder and tone guru(of course). A real merit to the guitar world we all love,I wish I had half the energy you do!.
Wow, that means a great deal coming from someone like yourself Sir. Thank you for your kind words. My Love for Tele's and Tone keeps me going I guess, cuz I sure ain't getting any younger
I was browsing youtube listening to some Mick Taylor videos and found this. He is normally an LP guy but look what he is playing here. Pulling some crazy Tone from that thinline
