I don't have perfect pitch hearing, and I'm a poor guitar player, so I can't accurately critique John 5's playing.

Mostly, he appears to be messing around, playing covers and other people's styles as he goes through the guitars. I certainly didn't notice a "problem", just like when I watch a Phil X video, as he screams his way through demoing cool gear.

Phil X, fun and entertaining. John 5, fun and entertaining. Both will have touring and studio jobs, doing what people on this forum love to do.

Shit, Jimmy Page's playing can be dreadful. Imagine if he had to put up with YouTube commenters when he was fiddling around trying to build White Summer.

Imagine if Clapton had to put up with comments on some of his work. I mean c'mon... much of this is an ear-piercing mess.... but put it in the mix..... no complaints.

Much typing to just say, I enjoyed the video @Boss 302 posted. I'm not grading it, I'm smiling to it.

Great Video! I saw this a couple of days ago and was really impressed how he played that Country-style stuff on the Telecaster by pressing the strings behind the nut like he were using a B-Bender.

    I think he's a great musician/guitarist!

    Obviously, you don't take hints.
Your previous response was complete gibberish, fact, not insult!
As is this one, go sh!t stir, elsewhere.

Who, it is good to see, yourself & many others enjoying it.

It was meant to be enjoyed, not analysed.

I don't think at all, that it was recorded to be serious.
Just someone noodling around, on some cool guitars.

I am sorry for truly not enjoying this. I didn't mean to analyse, but according to my good manners I had to explain my reasons and put down some arguments. Which I thought were reasonable since I am long in this "electric guitar-amp-band" thing, had several European tours and a large number of people following and standing/dancing/pogo in front of my band at the gigs. And my ear doctor says I have perfectly good hearing. Which sometimes is a curse, like here hitting a wall of one brick.
Anyways, I wish you to continue watching this again and again and again

    A moment of sobriety?

You don't like it, I get that.

But, you took it too seriously.
It was just a guy, a famous guy, mucking around with some old guitars.

Not, playing in his usual genre, having some fun.
Playing guitar, should be fun, enjoyable.
