Thanks for the heads-up......Awesome version of Stairway to Heaven by Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart! Too bad the song was so edited......

Yea. They did a pretty good job. The Stairway to Heaven solo was a bit weak but one must consider that it wasn't Page playing.

I thought Lenny Kravitz's guitarist rocked, with his black Custom with P90's(?). Don't know his name.

Kravitz and the Wilson sisters were cool.

As far as the Stairway solo is concerned, when you play Stairway in front of Led Zep, you play the solo like on the record. Whoever you are, learn it! Jimmy is there, you know.

The best bit was the Beth Hart singing “I’d Rather Go Blind”, with Jeff Beck during the Buddy tribute... Amazing vocals. And Jeff was very "tasty" with his playing on that tune.

Ms. Wilson did a pretty nice job with STH, too. But, that Beth sining the blues just flat out moved me.

I'm watching it now. Jack Black, Jimmy Kimmel and Ray Romano were all funny too.

Heart should have had Jerry Cantrel play the solo. I know they are real good friends, and I think he would have nailed it. Probably to busy with the new AIC album that's coming out though. Oh well.

Did anyone catch the quick camera shot of Page's reaction to Kid Rocks "Won't Get Fooled Again" Segue into Ramble on?

I'm not going to say Kid Rock did a GREAT performance - but I was really thinking he couldn't pull off a Zeppelin tune - it wasn't bad, so props to him! :)

Agreed. Just to clarify... I thought Kid Rocks performance was fine.. It just appeared to me that the intro segue into Ramble On, and Jimmy's initial reaction was one of uncertainty.

I thought Stairway was simply fantastic.

Although I am a huge Kravitz fan, and he did a very decent job, I don't think singing Robert Plant is his strong point. Craig Ross was awesome as usual, and how can you not love that vintage Custom of his....

That was just simply awesome. It is a simple fact that getting old sucks and life goes by too fast. Enjoy every single moment!

I have to say, our current president is not my favorite, but at least he has good taste in music! :)

    Long live Rock and Roll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
