No it's not. Wide binding, wide headstock, pancake body... it's a late '69/early '70.
I think Boston must have stolen their album covers from the two shirts he is wearing. LOL
Nope - pancake body.
There was a story about a guy who sold JP a 52 converted to humbuckers & how that was the red guitar, but the dates were all wrong, and the visuals on the guitar are there for all to see.
As stated above, 69/70 deluxe, factory humbuckers, after-market paint job.
Good shot of the pancake body
Here's Jimmy's Twin neck before and after the covers were removed.
Also and this has nothing to do with his guitars but i thought Jimmy Page fans would like these pic's, It's Jimmy's old house. formerly owned by Michael Caine,"Not a lot of people know that"...but also sadly the place where John "Bonzo" Bonham passed away.
What's up with that post sticking up near the tail piece that appears to have the B string attached to it? Does he drop the B for some reason?
Anyone got a shot of the back of that guitar? Or the head stock logo?
I thought he died in Allester Crowley's old castle........?
No John did not Die there. Your thinking of Boleskine house, It's not a castle just a nice sized house on the side of Lock Ness.
that knob is a B-bender
by moving the strap pin near the neck, the tension on the B string is altered, basically, a pedal steel guitar level is placed inside the guitar and is controlled by moving the strap pin near the beck
What he Said.
read my sig
i know EVERYTHING
What song(s) did he use it on? What parts?
notice how he keeps moving the guitar during the solo, that is the b-bender in action

here is the b-bender in action again
granted these are on the tele, not the LP, jimmy said that it lost most if its tone when they "chambered" it to install the B-bender

I used to have a 3 album bootleg recording of those concerts they did in 1979 in Sweden. Great stuff! They also did "In The Evening" - very cool.
What guitar is Jimmy playing in this video?
