It would be nice to see a reunion but it would likely be a big let down and tarnish their fantastic O2 performance which, to me, was a perfect send off. Their motivation was there (Ahmet Ertegun tribute). Good luck getting Plant on board for the 50th.

I would settle for a CGI movie showing them jamming on some stuff they did decades ago. Like the BBC recordings, even studio recordings. I am surprised that old Led Wallet has not yet exploited that avenue!

Has this thread finally died? It has been an entire month since the last post, which was also one of mine.

Jimmy is not actually jumping through hoops to give us fresh discussion material.

He seems content with his poet ladyfriend.

Here's some stuff from 1988 that I have never seen before. It just popped up on a Facebook group I'm a member of:

    Post from Tony Tortorici Jr.:

Happy Gibsunday. The recent 1-9 concert 'challenge' inspired me to find these photos I took at the Atlantic Record's 40th Anniversary Concert from 1988. Was fortunate to be that close for this bucket-list event - no zoom lens, just a 110 Instamatic camera. There was literally no one around backstage when I took the picture of Jimmy's gear...so tempting.

Can you imagine if the forklift operator had accidentally backed up in the guitars??!

I think no stones were left unturned as far as Jimmy's guitars are concerned.

At this point, we're just left discussing what type of mothballs he uses for storing his guitars...

I think this thread will go down as the most comprehensive source of info on Page's arsenal. I have always wondered if Jimmy has ever perused these pages. I have read he, "doesn't do the internet." But you never know.

He doesn't do the internet. He has scribes who transpose the information here onto goat skin parchment, written in the blood of young virgins and the content is sung to him by a trio of Benedictine monks accompanied by a theramin. He fucking hates gifs.

Found in this month's Guitar World, in an article about Ernie Ball.

This is EB's stock (or some of it) of artist custom sets.

Jimmy drank Fosters? in the early 70's? I didn't think they were even exporting that stuff back then. unless he brought some back from his Aussie tour in '72...
