This thread used to be about Jimmy Page's guitars..........
What has he done lately?
in recent news, jimmy pages guitar are exactly the same as they were for the last 30 years and no new information has surfaced. this has been a "anything jimmy page related thread" for years now.
i'm actually contemplating getting it I know they will pop up on ebay for a lot more after they release.
That was my fault - I found the pic of him playing what looked like a Les Paul - but seemed to have a slim body and rounded edges - in hindsight I should have kept it to myself [but what are forums for - if not making a fool of ones-self]
Now back to Jimmy... Can anyone guess what beer he is drinking here
PS: not sure whats happening here - I'll leave it to your own imagination
Lastly I thave a huge respect fo the way Jimmy kept his 60's to 70's Guitars - and added some post Led Zepp, but the old and true number 1 and 2 LP's just balls it in. Particular impressed by his pove for his tele, major rock history in the guitar and my only hope is that he passes it onto someon who can good use of its historical legacy. [if he passes - God forbid]
Not a guitar, but Zeppelin related...
Sad to pass on the news that Jason Peterson, founder & admin of Royal Orleans (aka "the hotel") and a huge player in making lossless recordings of live Zeppelin available online, has passed away.
Lots of us here are members there too, so probably not news to everyone, but he specifically deserves a mention here, because lots of the information about Page's gear that formed the central theme of this thread came from research done at the hotel.
I'm gonna say Heineken....looks like it may be their old label. But pic doesn't blow up well
Excellent Zeppelin recording from Jan 9, 1970.
I think most of that, if not all, is contained on LZ's 2003 DVD. So my question to youtube is this: how is the posting of that video NOT a copyright infringement? They pick on people like me and Elias and jun626 and vanderbilly for doing little short covers of LZ songs. But they let someone like that post an entire concert.
On a separate note, has anyone heard Ace Frehley's cover of Bring It On Home?
Heard it and enjoyed it. Glad he got someone else to sing on that one!
You've had issues with your videos? WTF?
my inside source tells me there may be discussion going on about something for next years 50 year anniversary
not getting my hopes up but getting my hopes up at the same time
Let's start a pool.
I'm placing my money in the "no show" camp.
