I don't think it was the G-707 he used because it was released two years after the sound track. I think it was a GR300/500 he used on that.

No i don't have a better picture, that's a nice one, looks like a modified 59-64 strat. do you have any info on it? I'm sure I've seen that guitar played by someone else, was it borrowed.

Well according to Lewiss's concert file book he played the lake placid blue strat, but that dont look like it too me, the pickups look out for some reason, almost looks like a cheap copy, Bonzo's on borrowed drums, at the time the band were in Tax haven and by chance they played at Behans nite club, Bonzo and Jonesy had been down the nite before for a rock n roll nite and the pianist invited them to do a turn, so they did the following nite, c/w the rest of the band and the pianist Norman Hale on piano

    Cheers

It could possibly be a LPB strat, but if it's the one he has used live before with the 3 single coils in, it must have been routed at some point to accommodate the humbucker in the middle,... we need to find a colour picture!

Hey does anyone own The Photographers Led Zeppelin by Ross Halfin? Its something like $400 bucks its like 400 pages of zeppelin photographs I always wanted to buy it but could never justify that kinda cash for a photo book or any book.

That's his Cromwell, & IIRC that one was used on the Death Wish II soundtrack.

Interesting thing about the Roland GR707 was that Jimmy had real PAFs installed in it. (Oh, & sticky labels to tell him what all the knobs were for).

Years ago I had the pleasure of playing and gawping at that 64 LPB strat when I did school 'work experience' at Giffin Guitars in Kew...

For those interested in the stuff on top of his amp like me It's a "Conn tuner" and a "Eventide H910", and not a "H949" which it has been said it is from this pic in the past.

To the best of my knowledge this is the only picture available from the gig, I have been trying for many years to get a decent picture from the gig but never had muck luck.

Here is a pic of him using the LPB in 1980

and just for good measure here is using No2 in 1980 - well i think its No 2

Heres one for the gang and its quite an odd ball, it shows Beck playing a LP with Plant on stage from 13th July 1969 in NY when the band were the band gate crashed the show, apparently all 4 members of Zep played on the encores and Clapton watched from the side stage. I take it thats Becks burst?

Anyone got anymore pics from this show if so post em here, Id love to see them
