"Jack will embark on a short acoustic tour of the only five states left in the U.S. that he has yet to play. The states these shows are occurring in will be unannounced until the day of each performance."

"Each special acoustic performance will be announced day of show at 8am local time. Tickets for these engagements are priced at $3 per ticket and will be limited to one ticket per person. All tickets will be sold at the venue door starting at 12pm local time on the day of the show – first come, first served and cash only."

That's pretty cool. I like the fact that Jack White tries to change things up.

yeah but at the same time it kind of sucks....I went to one of these once. I had to get up at 5am and drive downtown and wait for five hours to get tickets...luckily they were free and I was at the front of the line :laugh2:

here's a list of the past shows he has done on this tour so you can rule out which states he wont be playing in

Part of me is hoping that moves like this will spell the end of paying £60+ to sit in the back row of a 15,000 seater with no view of the artist...

Then again, someone's getting paid out those deals so it's unlikely.

i wish bands would have reg concerts, but also let people stream the concert live too, for like $5.

thousands could then watch it (if they couldnt make it or whatever) and the band could make lots more money

    its win win

This is very cool!! oh man I'm having flashbacks of the 70s --3 bands for 10 bucks back in the day. Good on you Mr. White :thumb:

Whatever happened to artists allowing you to get cd burned copies of that nights performance at the actual show, like in the past?

yeah, ticket master is a giant corporation and will most likely always be around as long as concerts and sporting events are, since there is virtually no competition....pearl jam tried to take on ticket master 20 years ago...guess who won...

not sure its a win win....

buying and carrying all the video equipment, having to hire extra people to setup and run the cameras, having to setup a site to watch the live stream....seems like a hassle....if the venues they were playing at did it, ticket prices would probably rise...

Jack is just going to show up and probably put a great show on. The other bands would cut down on a lot of things the tickets would be a fair price. The Stones don't need the money but it costs millions for them to tour. They are coming to this town with an army of people a mess of tractor trailers. Then rent like 10 floors of a hotel. The list goes on to a ridiculous point. The tickets start at $69.00 and I know how bad those seats are! They scale it down to a roar things might be real. Nope we get a remake of the pyramids like it or not.

That's pretty cool, just too bad it's only five shows.

I like Jack White and his various bands a lot and he seems cool, even if he's a bit full of it at times.
