I'm not worried about the seller as I know him personally. Not a scam artist, just a simple Kentucky boy with zero internet abilities on his own. Probably took him an hour just to write the description figuring out where the letters are on the keyboard.

Just trying to track down a date for the guitar as he has been told years from 68-72 from various shops and "experts", none of which I believe are on this forum. He got it in trade for some work he did on the original owner's house.

If you can have him send you or post good-clear close up pics of the pot codes on the back of the pots that might help narrow it down some also.(If they're original stock parts)

I would defer to Kris... that fella knows more about SGs than anyone i have ever talked to (well IM'd with anyway).

The wear pattern on the back is very unusual though... especially given by the strap (i.e. even if a nasty belt buckle... how is it getting past the strap button).

After a lil study, I'd say late '70, so basically NEW for '71.
