He's got a few very nice ones, I Must say.
I have a mint Electra Phoenix Strat type guitar -- a one owner 1983. And a great player. Beautiful burgundy finish on the body and satin black on the neck back. Do I hear a four figure offer from you?
You guys are freaking bad... Didn't you read that it has a bone nut?
My vintage Electra has the original graphite nut. Anybody up fir $8K?
Ooooh. Dole, I have an Electra, made in 73, that was made by Ibanez. I should get 10K for that one easily!
I think he has a sales strategy: (1) Price the guitar very high, so you can grab buyers' attention (like this thread), (2) then hope to get a lower but acceptable offer that is biased by the silly asking price. Might work, no harm in trying.
Just a question. Did James Hetfield ever use an ELECTRA "V" guitar?
Yes, he did. It's the V he used in the early days of Metallica, before drifting over to Gibson Explorers.
Interesting. My Electra Pheonix (1983) HSH Strat-type is actually a good player's guitar that I preferred over Fenders of the day. I never expected this MIJ guitar to gain in value, and I don't think it has. But from Reverb and other sources it appears to be worth about what I paid then -- $300.
It's back! A great opportunity for someone at the reduced price of $6900!
