    Question here
So I am still interested in the Epiphone
    Les Paul 1960 Tribute Plus...
    but I'm just bored.
I have some nice Les Paul's, nothing here that could be easily replaced by just another pretty face. No. This mother had better Knock down the walls and amaze me....and blow the Bourbon Burst off it's axx. That will be a feat in itself too being that little guitar has vibe in the neck, in my fingers - singing back to me as we rehearse.
I want to pull the trigger on a good deal,
So somewhere between a '55 Inspired by or a 1960 Tribute I sit

It depends on what you are currently playing. I would choose at least one of my elitists over my T+, based on the neck, which is the most important feature to me, a lot else can be upgraded or modified. But the neck, no...
The reason the T+ is such a good buy, is that it comes loaded with features that would cost more if you were to upgrade a Std. or other type of LP, plus it comes with some features you can't add on....like a long tenon.

So, it's really subjective as to whether it's the bomb....

    But it is really good.

I wish mine was lighter, tho

Well it has been said too often .... but you find out if a guitar speaks to you - only if you try it....

Otherwise - if your other LPs are mainly Epiphones I wouldn't take a 60 Tribute. Its not "different" enough. Perhaps another one of the low price Gibson LPs (laquer really feels different) ... and one with P90s for a different sound !

If you are located in the US, there was a tip for a not too expensive (>=800$) Gibson with p90s distributor specific series on this board. Can't find it by search though....

The T+ is a great value, especially used (I picked mine up for $400) but if I were debating between a T+ and an Inspired by '55 Custom it would be the Custom hands down. Gibson P90's, all the other upgrades as with the T+ and an ebony board. In fact, my search is currently on for a used one and I hope to add one to my collection someday soon.

Bummer! I played one but before I got back to pick it up, someone else had taken it home.

Hopefully one pops up used soon!

Hearing the Staple P-90 neck pickup on this guitar has sold me

The whole idea of the '55 is growing on me.
I would have to get a staple P=90 for the neck,
    50's wiring kit, ABR-1 conversion
The P-90 staple a Lollar and the wiring kit an Emerson

    Mine hasn't exploded just yet.

But seriously, it's one of the best made guitars of all my guitars...a collection which included American build Gibsons and Fenders.

<That's her in my little avatar to the left.
